If you have been living in the United States for more than three years as a permanent resident, there is a good chance that you are an excellent candidate for naturalization.
According to immigration laws in the United States, an individual may qualify for naturalization if:
- He or she has been living in the United States as a permanent resident for at least 5 years and meets all other eligibility requirements
- He or she is a spouse of a U.S. citizen and along with meeting all other eligibility requirements, has also been a permanent resident of the United States for 3 years or more
- He or she meets all other eligibility requirements and also has qualifying service in the U.S. Armed Forces
